Malaysia was accepted as a Country Member together with Japan in 1997 during the UICH International Congress in Budapest, Hungary.
Since then our section has matured both locally and on an international level, having organised several Junior Concierge Trainings, hosting our region’s Asian Congress in 2009, and most recently hosting the 61st UICH International Congress in 2014 in Kuala Lumpur.
Today, with 23 International Les Clefs d’Or Members and 20 local members, you will be able to experience our true Malaysian hospitality in most major destinations across the nation, namely in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Langkawi Islands, Penang, Pahang and the historic state of Malacca.
‘Malaysia truly Asia’ – a tagline that truly defines our beautiful country. Immerse yourself in a multicultural experience, and enjoy almost everything in one visit, from the cool, relaxing highlands of Pahang; the tropical rainforests in both East and West Malaysia; dive in deep blue waters to witness the corals or simply sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views from the many skyscrapers around our main cities. Malaysia has it all, and we are eager to share it with you.
Look out for any of our friendly members in most hotels around the peninsula, and we will be more than happy to share with you our little insights to ensure you experience only the best of what Malaysia has to offer.
Looking forward to welcoming you with a warm “Selamat Datang” to Malaysia!

The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur opened its doors in December 2012 and includes the meticulously restored iconic Hotel Majestic building, documented as a national heritage site under the Antiquities Act. Built in 1932, the original hotel became one of the great landmarks of Kuala Lumpur in its time. The hotel was the place for glamorous social events, government receptions and the residence for prominent international visitors. The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur is positioned to share the glamour, heritage and success of its predecessor. Set on 3.2 acres on Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin, this key location is the historical mile of Kuala Lumpur, opposite the old Moorish style railway station, another famous landmark for the city.
