“Les Clefs d’Or Macau started in 2006 as a section under the Hong Kong chapter, and was declared an independent chapter since 2014. We currently have 23 members from 7 different countries serving guests and patrons in 19 hotels that range from the quite small (15 suites) to really quite large (4001 rooms).
There are lots of reasons to come here, and they are not always called Jackpot, Baccarat, Roulette, and Blackjack or our state of the art convention facilities. Apart from being known as the Las Vegas of the East, Macau has a lot more going for it than just gaming and conferences. Our historical sites are good mix of Chinese and colonial interests, with some buildings dating back at least 500 years.
Our festivals are among the most unique in this part of the world. Some of the more well-known local festivals include the Drunken Dragon Festival (usually held in end-April/early-May), the Dragon Boat Festival (usually in June) and the Lusofonia Festival (usually in October). Also worth mentioning are the Parade through Macau, Latin City (usually in early December), and the Macau Fireworks Festival (in September).
Choose to do the familiar, or even better, go off the beaten path and find your own Macau just like we did ours. Eat yourselves silly in the many tea shops, local Portuguese restaurants, and should you wish, Michelin Star restaurants. And when you are done, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Taiwan are only about an hour away.
We look forward to welcoming you to Macau to discover this heady mix of the Orient and the Occident, and to be your guide through the many experiences that will leave you wanting more.
We encourage you to visit our website Les Clefs d’Or Macau to learn more about our Chapter, our members, and our upcoming activities.
